A benchmark structure for virtual sensing on tower structures

The dataset contains experimental measurement data of a 1.52 m vertical cantilever beam. The beam is equipped with DC-capable accelerations sensor and laser displacement sensors at three measuring points as well as electrical strain gauges at two measuring points. The excitation is carried out by manually applying a displacement boundary condition to the top of the beam, consisting of three distinct parts: stepwise static displacements, a free decay, and a quasi-random excitation with high energy content in the quasi-static frequency range.
